In the early hours of 9th July 1984, a fire took hold in the South Transept of York Minster. Through skill and good fortune firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the Minster’s main tower. The cause of the fire: Lightning.

To mark the Anniversary of the fire and celebrate the saving of one of Europe’s finest gothic cathedrals we are delighted to offer “Bolt”.

Bolt is a lucky black cat, supercharged with ribbons of electricity. Choose from metallic silver or electric yellow. Handmade in York. Gift bag included.
